Hello!
I will be visiting Puerto Vallarta in November and I wonder if anyone can tell me if the snorkeling is any good? Would I do better to get away from the city? Also what about hiking?
Any other recommended activities?
Thanks so much in advance!

Re: snorkeling? hiking?
Fri, October 1, 2004 - 2:46 PMSnorkeling is great in PV - just not directly infront of the town. Get a ponga ride out to the Marietta islands for great clear water snorkeling. The south side of the bay is steep and rocky and presents some fantastice snorkeling. There is a small rocky point in La Cruz de Haunacaxtle (north of PV) that also offfers great snorkeling.
A nice day trip, or overnite, is to a gorgeous volcanic lake called Santa Maria Del Oro.
You can find all types of music in PV, just let me know what you like and I'll give you some reccommendations. If you want to meet people, I can introduce you to all kinds of wonderful people. Do you like boating? Horse back riding? Jeep tours?
Just let me know what you might like to do and I can provide you with a ton of info.
No, I'm not associated with ANT commercial activity (except the women's gym in the Marina) and especially not the time shares. Beware fo the time share folks! If anyone offers you a great deal or rental or excursion, you can count on it being a timeshare hook. Timeshares are being pushed hard in PV these days.
Love to help

Sat, October 9, 2004 - 7:15 PMtrust me I know. I have a job where I tell people about the accommodations they've won and they usually don't believe me and wonder if there's a timeshare talk involved!
thanks for the tips. How much is it for the "ponga ride"?
