    Korina,

    The little town of Sayulita (about 40kms north of Puerto Vallarta) has a wonderful surfing community. Lots of very cool people and I'm sure you will find someone willing to give you lessons.

    Another wonderful place is Ticla. It is more remote and far less inhabited but a great place to surf and hang for a while.
